ABOUT THE KILBY BLOCK PARTY

Kilby Block Party is a music festival that started to commemorate the anniversary of Salt Lake City’s longest-running, all-ages venue Kilby Court. 2024 marks Kilby Court’s 25th year! Keeping with the spirit of this iconic venue, KBP aims to bring together SLC’s music community with some of our favorite internationally renowned artists. Our first two editions of this festival were actual block parties on Kilby Court’s adjacent street of 700 South in downtown SLC. KBP1 and KBP2 were headlined by longtime friends Death Cab For Cutie and Young The Giant who both performed at Kilby Court in the beginning of their careers. In 2022, we moved to Library Square for two sold out nights featuring headliners Phoebe Bridgers & Mac DeMarco. We then took another step to the Utah State Fairpark with KBP4 to host the largest indie music festival to ever happen in downtown SLC— averaging about 25,000 attendees per day with headliners The Strokes, Pavement, and Yeah Yeah Yeahs. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has helped make Kilby Block Party special, and we look forward to celebrating with you again in 2024 at KBP5 for Kilby Court’s 25th birthday!

ART & COMMUNITY

The Kilby Block Party is our gift to Salt Lake City’s music community for keeping live music thriving over the last 25 years. Throughout Kilby Court’s long history, we take pride in supporting so many artists both locally as well as across the globe. KBP celebrates the bravery it takes to perform one’s art, while also celebrating the supportive community that fosters its growth. We believe in the magic of this relationship, and work to create, as well as hope to inspire, more connective experiences for everyone in our city.

Each year, KBP also donates to important non-profits in our community. A portion of all proceeds from KBP5 will be sent to support these incredible organizations: Equality Utah, Save Our Great Salt Lake, and Spy Hop.
